‘ Lt. Charles Raymond Mobberley, Lond. R.

‘For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. This officer was in charge of a platoon in the leading wave of the attack. During the intense bombardment prior to the assault, seeing that the enemy wire was still uncut, he led forward a party of six men, and with them cut the gaps in the wire, thereby preparing the way for his company to assault’
