Description
Born in Castlebar, Co. Mayo and enlisted age 23 years, 6 months 12.9.1883. Served India and Burma 1885-89 and entitled to the I.G.S.1854 Burma 18878-89. No mention of his previous service but his Afghan 1878 -80 is named in the correct style as issued. A good project to trace his earlier papers with service in the East Lancs, perhaps underage.
