Afghanistan Medal 1878-1880, 1 clasp, Kandahar. B/623 Private E. Hastings 66th Foot

Served with Colonel Daubeney 1st September 1880 medal and clasp Kandahar confirmed,  also awarded a Khedive Star.  Ernest A. Hasting was born 1859 and sailed on H.M.S. Jumna 08.03.1879 age 20 years, enlisted 04.08.1877.  Clasp Kandahar scarce to the 66th Foot due to many men of the regiment being killed at the battle of Maiwand.
