Born Paddington and enlisted age 18 years, 7 months on 23.11.1886 having previous service in the 3rd Surrey Volunteers. Served in India and Burma 5.12.1888 to 5.12.1892, discharged 18.11.1898. The 4th battalion K.R.R.C. formed part of the Tamu Column and were the only British Regiment present in any force, approximately 443 medals issued to them, as well as some artillery and some odd men, so this is quite scarce to Europeans.
