145 St Sebastian clasps were awarded to those men of the 1st Foot who survived to claim the medal. At the siege and assault in July – August 1813, the regiment suffered 8 officers killed and 15 wounded, 118 men were killed and 310 wounded.
No papers found but further research a National Archive search might show that possibly John was wounded as he is listed in Mullins roll as on the pension list 6.3.1816.
