The 18th Arts & Crafts battalion which were raised at Gidea Park London in June 1915. They proceeded to France landing 3rd May 1916. They were in action at the battle of Courcelette, Transloy Ridgeon the Somme. In 1917 battles of Meddines and Transldy Ridge.

Sold with a copy of the 18th battalion report in operations from July 1917 to August 1917 which mentions the different occurrences such as ‘C’ Coy a portion of which had been wiped out. All the officers of ‘C’ company had been killed and all the N.C.O.s of ‘D’ company except 2 Lance Corporals were killed and wounded. Research shows Lance Corporal Chambers as a P.O.W. 24.3.1918 and that he had been wounded. He is entitled to a British War Medal and Victory Medal.
