Victory Medal. 33933 Private J. Camidge, East Yorkshire Regiment VF
MIC states Private Camidge served with the East York`s. the RA & RFA with the above numbers. It also states that he served in the RA with the number 1045496. His service record has his number as 1045596 this may have been after the war ended as the MIC also states that he was awarded a General Service Medal with the clasp IRAQ. His medal roll states that private Camidge was a Prisoner of War in Germany. 27-05-1918 to 02-12 1918. He was discharged 13th June 1919 suffering from Hepatitis. He re-enlisted in the RFA as a gunner and was discharged on the 4th august 1922. His General Service medal was forwarded on the 4th march 1925 his medal index card gives his address as 2, Carrs Lane, Skeldergate, York. Dated 20th February 1925.
