Description

He was born in Maidstone, Kent and enlisted 27.3.1809 in London age 24 years. He served for 10 years, 14 days including 2 years for Waterloo. Discharged about the 2nd April 1817, being disabled by an abbesses of the lung. Served in Captain Marlays company at Waterloo.

The 1st Foot Royal Scots suffered 8 officers killed and 26 wounded, 33 men killed and 295 wounded, 60% casualties. The regiment was also present in the America War of 1812.
