Peter Dering served in Captain C. Elderhors’s Troop No. 7, 1st Regiment Light Dragoons, King’s German Legion as part of Major-General Sir William Dornberg’s 3rd Brigade during the Waterloo Campaign and was wounded at Waterloo, 18 June 1815.
The regiment suffered 3 officers killed and 11 wounded also 30 men killed and 99 wounded, one of the highest casualty rates to the Cavalry at Waterloo.
He is not listed in Mullens M.G.S. roll but it could be he didn’t survive to claim it.
