Description
He was born in Eastbourne, Sussex, in August 1891, and, having emigrated to Canada, attested for the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force at Valcartier on 25 September 1914. He served with the 3rd Brigade, Canadian Field Artillery, during the Great War on the Western Front.
